Here at Möels & Co., we want to wish you a very happy, healthy and prosperous holiday season. Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we hope you use the end of the year to spend time with family and those closest to you. We hope that in 2023, you make mistakes, because if you are making mistakes, then you are trying new things, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world and more importantly, you're DOING SOMETHING. So that's our wish for you. Make new mistakes, make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is you're scared of doing, DO IT. Make mistakes next year and forever.

Symmetry is beautiful, but asymmetry is why the Universe and life exist. The Universe has asymmetries, but that's a good thing. Imperfections are essential for the existence of stars and even life itself. Theoretical physicists are enamored with symmetry, and many believe that equations should reflect this beauty. Mathematical equations built around symmetry correctly predicted the existence of anti-matter. But there is danger in equating truth and beauty with symmetry. Neither living organisms nor the Universe itself is perfectly symmetrical.

Photographer Helmut Newton (1920-2004) is most famous for his work as a fashion photographer, frequently creating work for Vogue magazine, and for his provocative, studied photographs of nudes. “If a photographer says he is not a voyeur, he is an idiot,” he once said. Newton is considered to have imbued fashion photography with narrative depth, giving context to his subjects by creating stylized, dreamlike scenes. Among other honors, Newton received the German Kodak Award for Photographic Books, a Life Legend Award from Life magazine, and an award from the American Institute for Graphic Arts.

In an ever-changing retail landscape, nothing rings more true than the old African proverb; “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” As brand alliances and partnerships become increasingly important, more and more brands are looking for partners to create something new together. The more different the pairings, the more exciting the result. In recent years a new wave of strategic partnerships emerge amongst brands with shared philosophies. Möels&Co is thrilled to announce our first collaboration with the Time Sailing Team from Poland and we look forward to joining them in their racing adventures around the world. The collaboration with the Time Sailing Team is far from the only collaboration, in 2023 we will unveil some other cool collabs too so stay tuned. The American fashion photographer best known for his gravity-defying Bubble series was born in New York City in 1933. Sokolsky rose to prominence with his editorial work for publications like Harper’s Bazaar, The New York Times, and Vogue throughout the 60s. While never formally trained, the creative maverick made waves with his inventive and unique approach to fashion photography. Having joined the Harper's Bazaar team at just 21 years old it was his fantastical approach to image-making that perfectly complemented the decade's space-age and youthquake aesthetics, with his irreverent Bubble series being his most notable work. The futurist fever dream featured models encased in acrylic bubbles as they were hoisted above the streets of Paris as they donned the 1963 collections.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the world’s longest-serving head of state who led her subjects for more than seven decades, has died at the age of 96. Her extraordinary reign, which began in 1952, spanned 15 British prime ministers and 14 U.S. presidents. She inherited the throne of a country almost broken by the legacy of war, and remained upon it through a time of epochal change both for the U.K. and the world. On behalf of the Möels & Co. community, we offer our sincere condolences to the Royal Family on the very sad news of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. We pay tribute to her remarkable life of service. Our thoughts are with the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Dear Möels&Co family,

Today, I would like to share something special with you.

After 2 years of hard work, this is the moment the first Möels 528 timepieces were delivered to our Brazilian backers, Walter Schalka and Mônica Schalka (right), and their Spanish Captain, Christian Cuevas, and Chef, Natalia Núñez (center). Walter and Mônica had their yacht custom built in Gdańsk, Poland, and they kindly asked us if it would be possible to hand-deliver their rewards before their world tour departure on July 10th. Thanks to the Ronda fulfilment team in Switzerland and our Polish friend, Mateusz Gliniewicz (far left), we were able to fulfill this special request, and on July 9th at 9 am, four Möels 528 were hand-delivered at the Hilton Hotel in Gdańsk.
